 Can the Athletics win a championship this year? And if so, what do they have to do?

By going out and giving CoCo crisp 4.5 million bucks the A's have basically written off any chance of returning to the playoffs this year. The light hitting A's clearly  need pop in their lineup , and once again they are beating on Chavez health and youth to provide that punch. Sure the Rotation will be better with "Duke" making a return to the rotation, but the youngsters are bat tle tested but not proven. Jake Fox recently acquired from the Chicago Cubs could help. Ryan Sweeney could reach his offensive potential, and the A's could sign "Miggy". Unfortunately, that still would not be enough as the Athletics are playing in  the American League West home of constant playoff participant Anaheim Angels, the slugging Texas Rangers, and the improving Seattle Mariners. So if the A's want to visit the playoffs, they better pony up for the big bats, because Crisp is not the answer.
